Aims and Objectives
As SCT we seek to unite, in pilgrimage the churches
in this area which acknowledge God’s revelation in Jesus Christ,
whom we confess as Lord.
We aspire to the richness that comes from respecting
each other’s different approaches whilst recognising and building
on what we have in common.
We seek to achieve this through shared worship and prayer,
learning, service and evangelism with each church sharing with others
the treasures of its tradition.
According to the Scriptures and in obedience to God’s
will and in the power of the Holy Spirit we commit ourselves:
Seek a deepening of our communion with our Lord Jesus
Christ and with one another.
Demonstrate our commitment to one another in the local
community. Fulfil our mission to proclaim the Gospel by common witness
in this area and in the wider world.
‘I Pray that all may be one Father, just as you
are in me and I am in you: may they also be in us so that the world
may believe that you have sent me’. John 17:21
